Help seeking boxers of the past runcorn and widnes

    Hi all can anybody help me im seeking any names of boxers from runcorn and widnes going back to early 1900's, and any info you may have on them its for a project im working on to put it on the net and share with the world. thankyou . H.B.H

    Around 1991 - 1995. Then went to Tuebrook, Croxteth, Higherside and Widnes.

    Travelled more than Tyson Fury me.

    Might be worth taking a trip down to the stobart stadium on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday night and speaking to Jackie Ryan about it. Unless you've already done that?

    Sorry to hijack this thread but do you fellas know of any good gyms to go to start boxing? A mate of mine and I want to try our hand at it but we are complete novices and don't know where to start looking.

    Wirral or surrounding areas if you know of any cheers.

    Wirral ABC, in Moreton, decent coaches, it'll give you a taste for the sport for a couple of quid a week, amateur boxer Nick Mcdonald started off here before moving to Vauxhalls Ellesmere port. :good

    Look up Robin "the Grim Reaper" Reid, former WBC Super middle champ from the mid-late 90s. Made 3 successful defences and twice challenged for other world titles. Had a barnburner with Calzaghe, pretty sure Reid hailed from Runcorn. Also part time porn star!!! :yep:yep

    Nice one mate, a mate of mine mentioned Vauxhalls also but it is currently being refurbed apparently. :good
