Is it true that there has only been 5 The Ring pound-for-pound number 1's since 1990:

    Pernell Whitaker
    Roy Jones Jr
    Bernard Hopkins
    Floyd Mayweather
    and now Manny Pacquiao

    Is this correct?
Does anyone know when the P4P rankings came into being, and who stayed at no1 the longest??

Mosley Trinidad and Jones were like top 3 at one point right? What was the order there? I could have sworn Trinidad reached the height of his ranking at #2 when Roy Jones was still sitting on his throne and no one was going to knock him off unless he lost.

Similar to Pacquiao being #2 and Floyd #1 of the last few years...:huh Tito sure did have a strong enough run and opposition to be ranked #1 though.

I'm pretty sure Toney made it no higher than #2, same with Tito.

When Toney was #2 who was #1 Pernell Whitaker?

And I'm sure Tito got #2 and who was at #1 Roy Jones?

Pernell was no1 when Toney 2. Shane Mosley was no.1 when Tito was no.2

This is accurate. Some considered Toney the best fighter, but Ring officially ranked Whitaker as #1.

    james toney beat michael nunn,
i am sure nunn was ranked 1 p4p
would have been around 91 from memory.
    s
ince toney lost to jones though , bar 1 fight when he beat jirov he has done nothing and beat no one to get onto any p4p list.

Because Mosley cleanly beat DLH and jumped two weight classes to do it.
