Can anyone quote the passage from his autobiography when he says he doesnt want to fight Roy Jones, or doesnt need Roy jones or Roy JOnes is crap... ?

    Something like

"he would have fought rjj in his prime but he would not do it anymore because he was past his best and he wants the biggest challenges out there and he said that jones would do nothing for his legacy."

He had a hell of a lot of respect for Jones back in 1998 when I talked to him. He dismissed DM though.

I don't understand why people seem to take what he says seriously. He's a boxer for Christ sakes, all boxers talk **** - it's part of the game. (Imagine how many threads there would be if we quoted all the bull**** from B'hop or Tarver)

Consistency clearly isn't one of Joes strong points.

Calzaghe is fighting this fight for money - thats all there is too it.

Everyone knows Jones is over the hill.

Jones might win another title before he retires.................

Be honest, how many here would go back on something they said a few years back for several million quid?

For the sort of money he is getting paid I would go back on something I said a second ago. This is the real world. Money talks very loudly.

Yeah and the sort of money for a Pavlik fight would have been even bigger.

That has been proven too. Pavlik is hot sh*t right now and brings a huge following, Jones never had a following and was a never a PPV box office superstar ever.
