Snobish? You're utterly delusional. I couldnt care less what you put in your mouth im simply stating from a factual and nutrional standpoint "hard" food is better. And i spend 8 hours a day sat at a desk i know the drill.
What makes 6oz of white chicken breast so much better than 50g of whey protien in your opinion. This content is protected Please dont say fiber. When it comes to fiber I look to my almonds and apples.
Its not just about the quantity of the protein but more so the quality. The body metabolises solids far more efficiently than liquids. At least half of that supplemental shake will go straight through your digestive system. As iv already said the human body absorbs what it needs and discards the rest. And your original post was about proteins not other minerals.
Fibre? I thought you was talking about proteins shakes? And if you want fibre eat fruit. Fruit is a natural source of fibre and anti-oxidants. Matter of fact Coffee is a good source of fibre, Ephedra to speed up your metabolism and anti-oxidants. It also doesnt contain as much dieurectic properties as its caffeine equivalent Tea.
I forgot to metion that. Just remembered today and came back to add just that. Soup with plenty of whizzed up veg and smoothies / shakes made from fresh fruit are winners.
Ephedra is a caffeine derivative. Theres nothing wrong with it in healthy does. Things only start to go wrong when people starting taking it in the bucket load and expose themselves to cardiac arrest or heart murmurs. Im not sure of its legality in Britain but i have bought Ephedra supplments before.
I see you disagree with my workout. Please understand I was writing for what he has got and specifically to build muscle which is the guys current aim. Your workouts seems good (and is actually nice and balanced) but what can he do with the gear he has? Also a split like that for a beginner trying to add mass and very low reps I disagree with. I really think he'd be better off following something like mine for 4-6 months or so before moving onto a regimen like you suggest. I think people jumping into 3 rep max effort stuff before they get used to lifting weights is a recipe for injury to be honest. Also the guy is only 17. His bone growth areas are still active and soft, another reason I'd prefer to see him using weights he can lift for 8-12 reps for now. Having said that, different things work for different people.
Thanks pal I'm going to look up the exercises you put down for a routine. Do I split all of them into a three day a week routine, or just the two like you said? I know its going to be a very long process but I would be getting faster results if I done three workouts right? Thanks for the advice and help.:good
Thanks, why did you disagree why Big Harrys though? He said that his was more of a routine to build muscle, which is what I'm hoping to do. Is there a basic difference that I'm missing? Thankyou for the help.:good
Do you think I need to take it three times a day everyday though? I will only be working out prob three times a week, any to be honest seeing as I'm just starting out they most likely won't be very good workouts for a month or two. So will it just make me get fat if I drink too much and not work out hard enough. Cheers for the help.
Yes I think I'll do that for a while and hopefully I'll be able to start adding vegetables and fruit in the diet more and more as I go along. Thanks.:good
