Help Wlad fight inside...

Agree,'cept that he doesn't have a weak chin. Brewster hit him with everything but the barn door in that 1st fight..
Sanders landed 3-4 big bombs, before he went down.

Roy Jones never fought on the inside hardly KOed anyone worth a crap at 175 took many the distance. Why are you nuthuggers not criticizing him?

 

No, not bullsh*t. Sanders was the only one that connected multiple times to put him down.
And that was still a TKO..he was still getting up. He took some tremendous-wide open- shots from Brewster, and, oh well, Purrity, when he was defenseless..

Say what you want about Wlad's Chin but he has NEVER been iced by one punch like Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones etc.

 

Yeah that was the same fight where in the 3rd round his legs buckled from under him from a stiff Brewster Jab, it also put him into a mini panic attack that made RJJ make fun of his glass chin all night.

If you want I could provide all the stats proving Wlad has a weak chin if you want. I have watched the guy fight for many years now, and it's safe to say he does have a glass chin and falls apart when the going gets tough.

 

In your opinion who has a worse Chin?

Roy Jones or Wlad and give me the reason why.

Yes, I would like..I want to be objective, but, from what I've seen, you guys far underestimate his chin... IMHO.

 

Having Wald fight inside would be a dumb as when Gaietti decided to just have Tyson stand an throw bombs.

 

I would love to. Jones was TKO'd twice by quality opposition, Wlad TKO'd 3 times by journeymen at the time. Roy has been down, what 2 or 3 times? Wlad's been down 11 times by my count.

Roy was first knocked out in 04 and then again in 05, which many will tell you he was past his best in his mid 30's. He went nearly 15 years without being knocked out and been on top of the world and champ since 93, Wlad on the other hand has been knocked around while he was in his physical prime in his late 20's, when he was floored or knocked out against TOS, Peter, Sanders, and Brewster.

 

Where's the evidence? Peter banged him on the back of the head several times before he finally landed in the 10th-he took some good direct bombs from the old 2005 Peter as well...

His flash knockdown with TOS was an aberration.
Whose touched him in the last 15 fights. Chagaev's left hook would have felled Golota, Haye.
I think he whupped Brewster in the 2nd fight-didn't see it..

 

these are all facts yes. Now the question is: do you have a glass chin if you get hit AND still get up? Joe Louis got knocked down ALL the time but always got up. His chin is rated as decent but not the best. He was knocked out by schmeling, who was well past it at the time and nothing more than a tune up. Does Wlad fall in the category because he's never heard the 10 count? his knockdowns can't be argued but their significance can.

 

The truth is, he hasn't had any episodes since september of 05 against Peter, but I could assure you the problem is still there, it's just better guarded with the help of Steward in his corner.

Wlad has been knocked down or out by mostly journeymen, Panell, TOS, Purrity, Sanders 4 times, Brewster, Peter 3 times, for a grand total of 11, which is the most for a heavyweight title holder since Tommy Morrison in 93. He has also been knocked out by 3 journeymen in Brewster, who coming into the fight was 16 months inactive with losses against fellow journeymen Charles Shufford and Eitenne. Purrity had several losses coming into that fight, but was known for having a great chin, till this day Vitali was the only man to stop him. Sanders was a part time boxer with losses to Nate Tubbs and Rahman, who also is known for his weak chin, yet he couldn't stop him when he had the chance, like he did to Wlad a couple years later.

So you could see, Wlad does have a weak chin. The stats prove this.

 

Sugar Ray Leonard hit the canvas more times than Jones, and arguably against worse opposition. I guess Sugar Ray had a glass jaw too atsch

'Speed' fighters always struggle as they hit their mid-thirties and Jones was no exception as was the great Leonard. There really is no point in arguing with these hating ******s.
