haha, same here to be honest. it's something that's not necessarily black and white and it makes for great debates. even when i lose this **** is fun
Tarver can bang, underrated power. Patterson did have a glass chin at Heavyweight, but he was also 185 pounds going up against the Liston's of the fighting world, that's see how Wlad would fare against that type of power. Wlad probably has the weakest chin for a recognized Heavyweight since Patterson of the late 50's and early 60's, the difference being Patterson was over 6 inches shorter and weighed nearly 60 pounds less. Wlad is a big guy that gets knocked around and put into panic attacks against much smaller opposition than himself, thats the difference
:good Your a good poster, that doesn't seem to have Wlad's manhood in your mind when debating, like a handful other posters I know.
VERY good question there......the only sensible answer to this is that Sanders wasn't that good. Lewis agreed to fight the winner of that fight and fought Rahman, who KO'd Sanders yet the Klit-ites still to this day accuse him of avoiding Sanders atsch It's also true that if the referee hadn't given WALDO a bull**** 8 count then Brewster would have knocked him the **** out. As for Jones then yes he got horribly KO'd against Johnson but the Tarver one was dodgy, he was up on rubber legs before the count was 10 but it was stopped. Jones has only been legitimately KO'd once. Before the Klit-ites start whingeing, I'm just applying the same rules for Roy as you do for your man :yep
In your wildest dreams. I know it's all you wish.... Please God, make this ******* have a glass chin, that way I won't be as threatened by this monster as I am currently.. It's not fair...:?:?
That's big news, CHEF. A vicious LL style uppercut would have put Chagaev and some of his other opponents away a lot sooner. If Wlad develops this and uses it effectively, then I feel sorry for the poor fighter who he shows it against.
Sanders had Rahman hurt and down I believe, but couldn't put him away. Sanders hit Rahman with everything he hit Klit with, the only difference is Rahman stayed up long enough to eventually stop Sanders. Brewster had Wlad in all sorts of trouble, the ref did Wlad a favor in giving him precious seconds to recover, he appeared to be knocked out on his feet. Jones sat atop the boxing world for 10 years, winning belts in 4 different weight classes, and he gets knocked out by two quality oppents in his mid 30's and everyone wants to call him a glass chinned bum. I guess by that standard Lewis is to? atsch
I don't have to dream, I have every Wlad knockdown/knockout on tape, and I like to watch them when I need a good laugh.:good
To be fair, Jones was only KO'ed after he went up to heavyweight and came back down. He had not settled back in to Lt. heavy properly before taking on top level competition.
Lennox Lewis was iced by one punch TWICE. He also fought cautiously at times, clinched etc. just like Wlad is accused of. What we have to determine is what is worse getting KTFO by one punch or getting knocked down multiple times like Patterson, Louis, Wlad, etc. but keep getting up?
If that was the case he would have been KTFO in the 1st Tarver fight not the 2nd one. Roy had plenty of time to adjust from after the Ruiz fight to the second Tarver fight. That argument does not hold up.
Obviously it's getting KTFO by one punch . But then it's not 100% since not all punches are created equal. I've seen Lewis hold A LOT, it's not the best fighter to be a fan of when you are so hard on Wlad for holding .
