im fighting on friday night & just had a change of opponent for the umpteenth time.with this new opponent comes a new weight, tonight i weighed 64.5kg after training, on friday i need to be 63kg.i weigh in at 7pm & fight at 10ish.whats the best way to lose it & not feel drained? also,my coach says he fights like witter or hamed, low hands, quick reflexes, lots of angles & screw shots, whats the best way to fight him?i tend to overthink against this style so my punch output drops. cheers
You can dehydrate the last bit off. If there's 3 hours between weigh in and fight it won't affect you, that's enough time to eat and rehydrate. Just limit food and fluid intake the day before then weigh yourself in the morning on fight day and sweat off the rest. If he fights like Hamed, you should fight like Barrera
we have a switch hitte in our club. Dont give them room stay in punching range with hands high and establish your jab and 1-2. Back them up as tehy tend to switch square on and you can catch them off balance. hands high establish the jab and 1-2, stay in range and use fundamentals
Where is it you guys fight? I've heard numerous guys on here say they have an opponent and know who they're fighting before hand. Here we dont know who until the morning before the fight, and if only five 152 lbers show, one of the five doesnt fight that night.
its just a club show in leicester.the head trainer matches all the lads up,mostly against local guys that he may have seen before,or he'll find opponents using warrior boxing website thanks for the tips,if he turns up in leopard print shorts he has to suffer
