Don't know if this was posted or not as I didn't read everyone else's response. First, 2 years is A LOT as it pertains to age. Some 14 year olds are just beginning the middle stages of puberty. Therefore, this in and of itself may make this kid more physical than you are at this point. From a strategy standpoint, I'm sure the advice others gave was good. Remember to breathe and relax as much as possible. When I think of "bumrushed," I think about somebody who goes all out but gasses quickly.
How does this guy "bumrush"? Does he use short jabs at all to close the distance or set up other shots?
1-2's and step to the side. Be sure to step to the side rather than straight back or just standing in front of him is the most important. Watch Tyson v Buster Douglas and see how Douglas deals with Tyson.
Keep your hands up high to catch the punches, stay calm and step to the side if you have to. Keep throwing when you can land. Getting beat sucks at first you will go through some terrible beatings but this is actually good thing, just remember they will be a good thing to think about when you're a lot better.
Don't you have a trainer to help you with all this? Plus you've only sparred twice...its normal to get bumrushed. I got raped. Best thing to do is get used moving about in the ring.....and absorbing punches in the ring keep your hands up Just listen to your trainer!
my trainer didnt exactly work on defense too much but he brought another guy in and it's coo beans from here thsnks guys
