Henderson vs Franklin 2 set for UFC 103

Yes im well aware that UFC is not MMA. But im not stupid enough to think that the UFC doesnt have the best stable of WW's.

Trigg beat Misaki? Well done, he beat a guy who has about 10 losses on his record. And woo, Icon Sports champion, I take that back, thats obviously the pinnacle of MMA. And he than lost to Robbie Lawler who is about as one-dimensional as you can get in his only title defense.

The guy has not fought the opposition that Koscheck fought in the past few years. Koscheck is going to wipe right through Trigg. And I dont even care for Koscheck.

I do know that this fight is laughable though.

 

Everybody wants to watch Brock because their only memory of this guy is jumping off turnbuckles and hitting people over the head with steel chairs.

By no means, do I think the Mayweather/Marquez fight will be the most exciting fight of the year but its an intriguing fight and thats all that really matters. Marquez is my favourite fighter, Mayweather is my pick though but I do think it will be competitive. I care more about the main event. I dont care about 2 unranked, young fighters like Miller/Escudero fight on the main card. I will most certainly find a place to watch it the next day...FOR FREE but i'm not paying for a card that has fights like that. Its embarassing.

And im not sold on JDS at all but frankly Crocop is just not the same fighter. Crocop needs to let his hands go. Just needs to be more aggressive. If JDS were to beat Crocop it would only look good on his resume but shouldnt do anything to validate him as an elite fighter. I think many fighters in the UFC HW stable would beat Crocop. This is frankly a non-relevant fight, UFC is just using a big name to put up against a young fighter JDS to get this guy some more recognition. Thats the bottom line.

And all the other fights are crap with the exception of Franca/Griffin and Franklin/Hendo is not a main event fight. And I actually like Franklin alot but I understand his limitations.

 

Why do a Belfort vs Henderson rematch though ? Henderson was in control the entire fight im not sure Belfort landed a single kick or punch all he was able to was hit 1-2 sweeps.

 

Since they're not in a hurry to give Hendo a title shot, but want to reward him for his recent run, they feed him a guy who can help sell tickets but not get in the way of Dan getting that shot at Silva in the near future; all the while getting him a fight in there to keep him on point.
