Are there any fighters you'd favour to beat him at this weight?

    Or featherweight?

He steamrolled everyone in his own time.

I think history has forgotten what a job he did between featherweight and lightweight and how many knockouts he was scoring. I don't think either Saddler or Pep would have been able to deal with him.

If playing top trumps they'd have been up against a fighter with such statistics as:

    Work rate - 10/10
    Stamina - 10/10
    Will - 10/10
    Durability - 9.5/10
    Strength - 9.5/10
    Infighting - 9.5/10

More and more I think if you're looking for someone to beat Armstrong you need to start with the top ten lightweights, nobody lighter.

I'd say Chavez and Canzoneri have the best chance (although Tony was pretty hit and miss at the weight). You'd need someone super robust to deal with Armstrong at that weight.

Problem is, Mayweather looked pretty vulnerable in fights against the likes of Jesus Chavez, Jose Luis Castillo and Ricky Hatton.

3 different Mayweathers at 3 different weight classes sure, but Floyd has been back-up-able and forced to fight at all weight classes, and at 130 in particular I don't think his infighting game is sophisticated enough to hang with Armstrong there.

Manny Pacquiao said it best when somebody keeps throwing punches Mayweather stops throwing punches, and there has never been anyone better at non stop punching than Armstrong, so Armstrong beats Mayweather

If Mayweather is just trying to block non stop punches for 12 whole rounds against a guy who can throw punches nonstop for 15 hell i don't see anyway for Mayweather to win.

Armstrong is getting tagged way too often for my liking, De La Hoya throws the whole kitchen sink at Mayweather and still can't make significant contact.

Despite that admittedly fair comparison between a real fight and a light spar for the cameras, I genuinely believe Armstrong would have overcame Mayweather through nothing more original than relentlessness.

Yeah but the only thing you got wrong is that Armstrong wouldn't stand there straight up trying to block punches you don't get nicknames like Homicidal Hank ect from doing that he wouldn't do that why wouldn't he go straight forward like he always did.. he's not going to change the way he fights for this one fight...

Chavez or Saddler would probably have the best chance.

Mayweather is pretty hard to tag up top. To the body is a different story though. You'd think Armstrong's punches for the majority would be directed there.
