Armstrong was just about better in every single aspect by a multiversal margin, but man was Camacho fast.. I'd pick Armstrong by stoppage after he wears down Camacho with disgusting calculated but relentless shots and agression, of course after he himself struggles with Camacho's speed
Hector fought to he was almost 50 and was never stopped . I've watched Camacho-De La Hoya several times. IMO it's one of the most one sided fights between two greats, Oscar was prime, Hector was past it. Hector took a helluva beating but was never stopped.
Armstrong was a historical P4P candidate. Camacho was fast and well-matched. No contest. Two very different levels.
I agree with you completely. Camacho hit harder, Armstrong hit often, never stopping, like fighting a fan on full speed.
Armstrong would likely win, but he's not stopping him. Duran couldn't, De La Hoya couldn't, Julio Cesar Chavez couldn't, Felix Trinidad couldn't. Oscar was beating him as badly as one great can beat another, and Hector came out for every round. It was as one side as Holmes-Cobb, and like Tex Macho came out and took it every round.
DurĂ¡n was like 1000 years old, he schooled Camacho the first time around but it's obvious a man in his 40s who started at super bantam by modern standards is not knocking out a naturally bigger man in much better shape and younger, i'll give you the other three tho, i still think Armstrong's pressure would be too much.
