Legacywise Armstrong. Physical gifts Pac. Had they fought in the same era? Tough to call. I would say 50-50.

H2H Pac>Armstrong, for the simple fact that Pac looks better on film on all aspects of his game, and generally the best atheletes of today are better the ones of 60+ years ago.

Resume Armstrong > Pac, for the simple fact that back then boxing demanded you to fight the best a lot more often.

Hmm... Armstrong. He has more fights than Pacquiao not to mention that it's probably harder to fight in Armstrong's era. In terms of legacy, I think Armstrong is better.

I think that Pacquiao can fight evenly with Armstrong and win.

Arguably the best of all time! Homicide Hank was like a smaller, better Joe Frazier. The ONLY advantages Pac has against him are speed and combinations (Armstrong was a punch-at-a-time kind of fighter).

How do you make the conclusion that he's greater after all the reservations that you started your post with?

That's my problem with lots of these polls, is there is always the dogma that the older fighter is greater no matter what.

Dogma is dogma, this is a sport not the Catholic church.

What the hell is going here? *******s have taken the cake with this one, my vote just pushed it one ahead for Amrstrong!! what the hell? Where are all the complete morons who voted Pac. This has blown my mind at a time when I thought *******s couldn't be any worse. Seriously we're talking arguably the greatest boxer ever and certainly a top 3 p4p ever vs Pac.... Armstrong wins in every category at every weight from 126-147 no effin question. I can't beleive Armstong's only winning by one vote hahaha this forum is becoming an embrassment full of halfwits who just started watching boxing and don't know any boxers besides Pacquiao so they get horny and vote for him every chance they get in every poll despite not knowing anything about any of the opponents he's being put up against in fantasy matchups.

If you voted Pac you are completely ******ed

Armstrong by devastation. I mean I get scared just watching them YT clips. Also Armstrong is from the greatest generation those guys were, stronger, faster and certainly better trained. They also werent affected by pollution liek these guys today.

It will take two men today to beat a man from 1940. Thats a fact!

Both shared their own legacy in boxing but at different aspect.

The race for "The Ring" can only be answered by a real boxing historian who has the full knowledged of active boxers in their respective epoch.

still not convinced if we need to compare the two.
