Henry Armstrong vs Roberto Duran

Armstrong was great on the inside but Duran was better, he also beat Leonard toe to toe at welter, Armstong never beat a fighte than could punch like Ray or with that kind of hand speed.

 

Duran wins on account of being quicker, more skilled, hitting harder and more versatile.

 

Henry Armstrong would win this.
Better inside fighter. Better work rate. It would be a great fight because Duran was great too.
Armstrong was the best there was.

Though I don't see Duran stopping Armstrong, I do see him winning
this fight convincingly, after a few rough rd's the 1st half of the fight.
Armstrong maybe the greatest in fighter in history. But Duran's
overall ability would be the difference as the fight ware's on.

 

Armstrong was a better inside fighter than Duran.
Duran was great but Armstrong was better.

 

This kind of fight is impossible to predict. It's 50-50 fight and anyone trying to convince that it's not close has clear bias behind him.

I like Armstrong more, but I can't pick him convincingly here.

No fighter ever crowded and manipulated their opponents on the inside as well as Armstrong did.
No fighter ever chopped away at their opponents as persistently and as brutally, body and head, on the inside, as did Armstrong.
I've never seen any fighter throw and land the punches Armstrong threw from such short range as consistently as Armstrong did, over and over again. He was the best inside fighter, and the best pure fighter bar none, and one of the most skilled too.
Duran was a little tiger but Armstrong was almost supernatural.

 

Watch the fights. In what way is Armstrong not the best infighter ever ?? He consistently crowded and cajoled and pressed to fight on the inside, that was always where he headed, right on top of them, and his success is undeniable.

You didn't actually explain why he's better, you just sorta said he was again.
