Henry Cooper, British and European heavyweight champion and the guy who knocked down Muhammad Ali, began boxing in 1954 and retired after losing a close, controversial points decision to top-10 contender Joe Bugner.

Jim Cooper, Henry's IDENTICAL TWIN BROTHER, also started boxing in 1954. In fact, he made his pro debut in the same arena. He retired with a record of 16-14-1, with many losses coming to fighters of questionable quality.

    Interesting, eh?

I have two younger identical twin brothers who used to spar with each other all the time, and me with both. One was a speedster with lightning reflexes. The other wasn't so fast, but hit like a ton of bricks. Even with identical twins (and to this day, most non family members cannot tell them apart), there can be drastic differences in physical and mental performance qualities.

The handyman at my uni accomodation used to spar with Jim Cooper in the army, true story! He said he was a only Welterweight, but Jim still spared with him & they were good friends. Also he was live at Ali-Cooper I, & insists that if Ali got any extra time between the 4th & 5th rounds, it was only a few seconds.
