Always weird how Ali went from being chinny to having an iron jaw later in his career.
Even if he became heavier later you dont see it often with boxers.
Normally you either have it or you dont.

Plenty of examples. Foreman & Joyce could be rocked then they hit their mid 30's and became invincible, so did Ali.

Battle hardened. Only seems to be true for heavys.

Fury will get tougher with age also.

I like Cooper but his argument for having a monarchy and not a President is bizarre.

In another interview Cooper claimed that the split glove gave Ali an extra couple of minutes to recover.
He must have heard that myth so many times over the years that he started to believe it was true.

The break between the 4th and 5th rounds was not extended by two minutes. It was extended by six seconds.

Foreman gassed in his first career. Thats more a stamina issue.
Look for example at Hearns, Khan. They remained chinny as they moved up.
You coukd say Pac but he was basically malnourished when he was stopped.

    Maybe its different with heavies?
But Wlad remained chinny for example, as did say Norton.

    I didn't say we needed a President.

But his argument that a President would rip off the country was ridiculous.

The knockdown Sir Henry Cooper scored against then Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) on June 18 1963 was a true knockdown. Ali took Cooper for granted, tried to toy with him, called him bad names like a Bum and a Cripple. On May 21 1966 in a ttle defense, Ali had a greater respect for Henry's left hook. I saw that fight live on ABC's Wide World Of Sports, Ali did appear worried. Ali stopped Cooper in the 6th round on a badly lacerated eyebrow. There were no knockdowns in that fight.

Good ol Enry .That knockdown is still talked about regularly after all these years. Certainly brought him more fame than he would of had without it. Even my Nan used to bang on about it and she hated boxing.

His bitterness after the Bugner defeat did him no favours
