I don't think Maccarinelli is any better than than the domestic heavies of Cooper's era. There were decent fighters like Erskine, Richardson and Brian London who were all more rounded and experienced than Enzo. Cooper was a bit better than these fellas and so I think he'd have a bit too much for Enzo. Cooper by ko, if his eyes held up.

I think due to the way the game has evolved Enzo would be a little too refined for Cooper who took a thorough beating against Ali. But I doubt Enzo would have the durability or Savvy to stay out of the way of that left hook for 12 eounds either. My guess is that cooper would be thoroughly outboxed before finding a against the run of play finisher late on. Don't bet on Coopers skin falling apart they used bag gloves back then.

well actually jeff i disagree that cooper took a thorough beating against ali,if you watch both fights cooper actually fought well in both and gave ali a lot of trouble.of course when you see the state of coopers eyes at the end of both fights he looked as though he'd been pummeled but really he was a notorious bleeder back then.in the two fights the only round in which i would say he took a real beating was the 5th in the first fight, but he was virtually fighting blind by then.also i don't think enzo would be too refined for cooper at all.coopers best win was when he outpointed the then top ranked zora folley who was a very clever fighter of a much higher class than enzo, although admitedly henry was knocked out in 2 rounds in the return.cooper was vulnerable to the big punchers, and there's no doubt that enzo could knock him out,i just think the guys that did knock cooper out were of a infinitely higher class than enzo.
