i don't like saying this but i'm sure henry would beat the yorkshireman.what about sonny liston versus danny mcalinden
if this fight ever happened i dont think you would get more than 10 fans in the auditorium to watch this type of match up if it did ever come about i think it would be a long fight filled with a lot of clutch and grabbing with any one of them coming out as a unanimous winner:think
Danny McAlinden beat Ali ! Rahaman Ali,that is. He was terrible, was n't he ? Jack Bodell was another.
i can't forget bodell charging at jerry quarry with his chin in the air.he may as well have had a bullseye painted on his chin.quarry couldn't miss
cooper and dunn just came up short when it came to any type of boxing potential their styles were very similar from the clutch and grabbing and when they would take 20 shots before landing one:think
The only time i can recall of seeing Joe Bugner "Turn Tiger" - and mainain it,was against Richard Dunn - i wonder why ???
dunn gets done, but the way he went the distance with bodell a far more open fighter to me makes me feel like it actually might go the distance.
Cooper by knockout. A big, slow open target like Dunn within a vulnerable chin to boot is right up our 'Enery's street. See Cooper rsc 2 versus Bodell in '67 for reference. Cooper seems to get some negative press these days...probably relating to the legend/myths surrounding the Clay KD in '63. For what's it's worth, imo Cooper was a good class boxer, a banger with the hook, but cuts and his own punch resitance left him short of top world class. Still a legend in British boxing terms though.
