American Chris Henry beat Argie Hugo Garay in a first round KO This fight was a WBA Light Heavyweight Title Eliminator.. Seems like Henry is next for Shumenov.
I think Chris Henry is actually pretty decent. He looked gassed out in the Diaconu fight, and he was real poor vs. Mack. That wasn't the real Chris Henry in that Mack fight. Too much PCP i would presume ( lol ) I think Henry has the tools to beat Shumenov. Henry is a good fighter when he wants to be.
Really weird KO, didnt seem like a hard shot and Garay was counted out, seems like he was struggling with the weight and is clearly done at world level. Great result for Henry though as Garay was a durable fighter. Although if Shumenov-Henry happens before Shumenov-Campillo III it is a disgrace
Or not enough PCP. Either way, great win for Henry tonight. I think Henry's next in line for the Shumenov-Uzelkov winner, though...I could've sworn Uzelkov was the next mandatory in line for him. Being the WBA, such a cluster**** is to be expected. No wonder they denied Campillo's appeal; they've already got the next half dozen WBA mandatories lined up.
I've never seen him personally, but the one thing that sticks out to me checking out Boxrec is that he looks to be the only guy to clearly beat Campillo, which he did via 6th round knockout. I've tried to find clips of that fight online to put it into perspective, but couldn't. Seems to at least be a decent fighter on paper.
Garay thought Henry was going to be penalized for pushing him down and was trying to milk it, and got counted out lol... I hate it when boxers put on an act, he had it coming. Henry was going to get him eventually anyway.
Yeah i thought he would win. Seemed like he tried to milk a penaly from henry by the refy et it backfired, shame i rated him high
