5 words spring to mind when we talk about:
    Talented
    Dick
    Inconsistent
    Big Mouth

If he kept his mouth shot, his mind on the job and let his skills do the talking he'd give anyone in the 140lb or 135lb (if he can make the weight still) REAL trouble. Problem is he thinks he's better than he is, he drifts and he talks himself up too much considering his performances.

    • Wildly inconsistent. (world class at his best and C+ grade on his bad nights)

    • Prone to going full ****** even on his good nights. Enigmatically, often has the higher ring IQ than his opponent and can outbox them for long stretches but will stupidly begin to brawl for no reason and get himself in a pickle.

    • Underrated power, often doesn't sit down on his shots but can make things happen when he does.

    • Shaky chin but excellent recuperative abilities.

    • Best switch-hitter in the game today. You see that cutesy southpaw masquerade Crawford pulled off with Burns, taking a few rounds to work out the kinks? Child's play. Amateurish, next to what Lundy does. He can smoothly and fluidly transition between stances from one step to another while circling or moving in and out, and he fires the full arsenal of punches equally well from either side.

He's not as charismatic and lacks the flair, but reminds me of a mini-Emmanuel Augustus.

...oh, and he is pretty fast, especially in putting combinations together, which he does well & often...the downside being he often does so with no consideration for distancing, which gets him caught and shaken up...which makes him angry...which makes him fight even dumber in a vicious circle.

There now, that all pretty much nutshells him.

His frame allows for either weight, IMO.

He is comfortably strong at 140 enough not to get bullied around, not a small fry there, but he also never seemed misplaced or drawn at 135 nor did he ever hulk over anyone.

He somehow pulls off looking both a 'natural' (or at least comfortable) lightweight and light welter. Sort of a 'tweener.

He did blame a couple of his performances and some of his punch resistance issues at LW on being drained, but it smacks of pure lip service...and the man does have the gift of gab. Were he not boxing he would be selling vacuums door to door.

Jesus Christ an in between for the inbetween weights now.

I think he's going to crack TBRB rankings this week, at lighweight.

    :rofl

    Light welterweight lite?

    Junior super lightweight?

    Lightweight-n-a-cheeseburger?

    :huh

Anyway, yeah, if they could establish a euphonious name for it, Lundy would rule the 137.5lb division with an iron fist.

Good deal, he ought to. Estrada and Figueroa in particular have no business ahead of him when comparing sum body of work at the weight over the last few years (as well as most recent form, in the "what have you done for me lately" spirit of the sport), IMO.

Well, i'm not feeling it all the way tbh. He's 1-1 for lightweight in 12, 13 and 14. Nothing wrong with the loss (Beltran) but the win isn't great (Santana).

But I think he will make it in.
