Herb Dean doesn't have to explain himself for that stoppage. It's not about if the opponent is out of it or not, it's if the opponent is able to defend themselves. Fedor clearly couldn't. He was trapped. It's the same as BJ/Hughes.
I feel sorry for Herb. He jumps in and stops the fight to help a defenceless fighter with a view to preserving his long term health and all he get's is abuse from a bunch of fan boys Anyone who think's it was an early stoppage, read this next part carefully Herb Dean shows by stopping the fight that he care more about Fedor than his so called fans who wanted to see him take more punishment in the hope he might add another W to his record **** his legacy, to me Fedor's health is much more important

Fedor was done and would have eaten some vicious H Bombs that would have put him to sleep again if Dean didn't step in imo. I was happy as a pig in **** when Fedor put Hendo down and tried to G & P him, and thought that Fedor could finsih him off but Hendo turned it around so quickly and deserves nothing but credit for it.
I saw a camera angle somewhere and it almost seemed like Dan caught him in the chest or throat and not the chin. Anyone else seen that?
hmm fedor seemed to recover pretty easily but its a sticky situation and in herb dean's mind he probably thought that fedor was out but who knows what would've happened if he let the fight go on.
