Herbie Hide (39 wins & 38 ko's ?) thats pretty good

shame about his chin, and his general bouts of being a ****.

Hide has power,no doubt about it.Riddick Bowe once said that the fighter who hit him the hardest ever was Hide,"i was out on my feet" dixit Bowe.
Unfortunately Herbie does not have the best chin and mentally he collapsed often before a big fight.

 

Let's be honest about it, if Herbie Hide really punched as hard as what people thought, he would have had become a consistent big time player at some point. Sure, he has a decent punch on him, but a lot of the opposition really has been very questionable.
All Hide will be remembered for is being bounced off the canvas several times against Bowe (the fact that he kept getting up raises serious doubts about Bowes punching power), and getting laid out and stiffened by a graze from the laces of Vitali Klitschko's glove.
He has, however, amused British fight fans over the years with his slightly ******ed trash talk, and at least when he gets in the ring you know some leather is going to be thrown.

Herbie actually won that fight, as he was clearly ahead on the cards at the time of the bull**** stoppage.

Hide was a very hard puncher and his KO percentage is nothing to laugh at. Unfortunately, his chin and his mentality didn't quite match his fists.

 

Yep. Vitali was exhausted and looked relieved when the ref waved it off. He promised Hide a rematch, but went back on his word. Now Vitali has retired and it's all his fault that Hide will end his career having achieved nothing.

 

Hide is on an comeback trail at cruiserweight, maybe he can still make some noise and beat some good fighters.
