In terms of being asked to throw a fight, I think a lot of this is all talk from Herbie's POV. He is neither in the position to set up such a fix at this stage of his career and the only reason he is talking about it now is because he is unable to. If somebody offers a washed up old fighter a million pounds to throw a fight that he would probably lose anyway is it any surprise he might say yes?

Its all just talk. There is a reason why The Scum have targeted an old ex fighter who has a number of previous convictions with such an offer. If you were to get a world champion talking like that, Then i might listen.

What you never see with these things is what goes on off camera. If I was a faded boxer and a rich looking oil sheikh offered me millions to set up a boxing tournament in the Middle East , I would say whatever I thought he wanted me to say in order to get the deal done, regardless of whether I actually intended to carry it out. Herbie is a very shady guy, but tough to call him a cheat based on this video from The Sun, who in my eyes have zero credibility when it comes to presenting facts.

But go onto youtube and watch the fight. The punch that "KOd" him barely (if at all) landed. He talked about going down in a particular ROUND in the video online of him offering to throw fights. Who knows, maybe he or his "sponsors" had bets that he'd lose in that particular round.

 

Wasn't a man murdered at Hide's house at a party.
