I remember there were some talks about staging this fight in the late 90s - early 2000s. Who would have won and how, in your opinion, had they met in 1997-1998?

Here is the last round of their amateur fight. Akinwande won it, but Hide was only 17-years-old while Akinwande was 6 (according to Wikipedia) or 9 (according to BoxRec) years older.

Henry was big and had a very awkward style, leaning back over his back foot and the swaying forward and using his reach to score points. His punches weren't so much blows as extensions.
Hide at his best was quick, fluent and, for a small Heavyweight, carried a fair bit of power. It might take a few rounds for Hide to get fully to grips with Akinwande's style but with his fast, accurate shots he's got plenty to aim at.
Akinwande had a solid chin so I don't see Hide stopping him but certainly see a reasonably comfortable points win. Also, I may ask for my money back !

Funny how an amateur fight can change people's opinions on who would win the pros, it's totally different, Hide would've KO'd him
