It also surprises me when I check the British rankings in Boxing Monthly and he is always number one cruiserweight.
Herbs is a legend and hopefully we'll be seeing him again. He was going on about chasing the WBO strap a few months back, but haven't heard anything since. You can Herbie but you can't Hide, ride again Herbs.
He went paper chasing, can't blame him though you can eat better among the big boys. Thankfully, Herbs has kept and infested that heavyweight change relatively wisely.
I hope he fights agian. As someone else has already said he should have dropped down to cruiser earlier. He would have been hard to beat for anyone at that weight in his prime.
He's been in trouble with the law recently and had to take time out... Shame really as, although I don't like Herbie Hide the person, he put a lot of effort in post-Klitschko and had, through sheer hard work, got himself into an amazing position... I fear that the inactivity will render him useless in any significant fight.
he backed out of prizefighter because some unknown fella gave him a lot of trouble in the first fight , think he needs to come back earlier rather than later if he is going to do it
To be fair, Herbie got a pretty nasty cut and was worried about it worsening and him losing a bigger fight that was (at that time apparently) just down the road. The doctor supported him withdrawing.
He's lost his lofty WBC ranking for some reason. Not ranked by the WBO/WBA. He's 8 with the IBF so that's the only route now. Shame, he's had bad luck, despite making a spirited comeback.
