My money is sayin Hide knocks him clean out. Better boxer, just as big of a puncher, equally as fast if not faster & both have quite poor chins but hide went 6 rounds with Bowe so i think he has a better chin at heavyweight

I know there's a lot of hate towards Haye lately, but this really isn't a contest.
Haye against prime Hide at Cruiser would be a great fight.

hide wasnt a great boxer moved well and had a snappy jab but wasnt a technician by any means. haye has more tools goes to the body really well. and sets traps which i think herbie would be suckered into.

herbie is a good fighter he has very good pop and is pretty entertaining given the right opponant. first african fighter to win a world championship and held the fastest ko in heavyweigth championship history....damon reed maybe but still anyone who was goign to get the recognition was goign to fight somone pretty bad.

    Who did Hide actually beat?

Other than an old-ass Tony Tucker.....

Hide in his prime was actually a good boxer with excellent movement and good footwork. Now he looks as if he is trying to imitate Froch with very little footwork.

In his prime he would have easily beaten Haye.

If it happens today it may be interesting for a round or two but David would get to him but a prime HIde against Haye would of been a real 50/50, both have been on teh deck but both have speed and can bang, it would be a case of who gets the big shot in first

Both in their primes, I would say Hide would win. Hide struggled with the bigger heavyweights, he would have taken Haye then. Not so sure now.

You would lose your money...Herbie was never that quick, and now he is just a shuffling shadow of his former self. Haye would retire him

Not now. Maybe years ago. It would pretty much be a shoot-out that wouldn't last long. Two fast guys that can punch with egg chins. Haye is slightly the superior boxer with better timing so I like his chances to land first.
