Here is a look at Vicente Escobedos (Broner's Opponent) second to last fight......

I agree - this is a dynamic that Broner has not really experienced, or at least not with the skills to complement it (Litzau was a little bit taller than Broner). Escobedo is a level above Litzau, and has the height/length/range.

I still think that ultimately Broner will be too fast, and too powerful, and sooner or later will catch Escobedo.

    1. Guerrero is a special fighter.
    2. Broner is not elite yet. Looks it but his resume does not suggest it.
    3. Escobedo could scare Broner. PDL did it with his power and Escobedo does have some decent pop.

escobedo is a under achiever. i have known about him since 2005 and at his very best he only looked good against bums. everytime he stepped up against decent fighters he would always lose. he is not better then ponce de leon if anyone knows who he is.

yeah but the thing is de leon is a natural featherweight escobedo is a natural lightweight. without doubt he's the best fighter broner has fought yet

He's broners toughest fight to date and he's a career LW who has height and significant reach on Broner.....good way to test the waters at LW.

I doubt we'll see Broner KO him since a big puncher at LW like prime Katsidis couldn't do the job. I think Escobedo will make this a tougher than expected night for Broner and give him some rounds since he's not only the biggest dude Broner has faced but he's the best fighter and has the best pedigree(which is actually a blessing in disguise for Broner to get some schooling vs a bigger guy before he jumps in vs one of the champs at 135). I predict a 9-3/8-4 type decision for Broner but he manages to KO this guy that's a massive statement and he's the real deal.

Escobedo is solid. Could win a world title some day by facing the 'right' fighter, but I think he'll just be too slow for Broner.
