Cotto doesn't need to do ****. HBO, Arum, the fans, and boxing writers are doing all the work for him. All Cotto has to do is keep winning.

 

Cotto has a few fights first before he experiences his first loss to mayweather! Cotto doesnt really come a cross as a guy who is botherd about mayweather or anything for that matter

he doesnt seem to care about the mayweather fight , im sure he does care and wants the fight but he aint showing it! but its enough of all the crap sourounding the fight, Cotto should just call him out if he wants him , call him , provoke him , likee wht hatton done then mayweather will take over playing the bad guy!

 

It's not his style. I think people need to do what works for him. His personality works for him, trying to call people out would sound insincere. The guy has earned his shot, and everyone is calling for the fight. Mayweather can't talk to anyone without having to hear about Cotto. That gets at a person's ego. Not only that, but HBO, Arum and many boxing writers are taking shots at Mayweather left and right. He'll either have to fight Cotto or hear about it the rest of his life.

 

Flyod has done alot in his career in boxing , he doesnt need the cotto fight just love for the fans to hear it! i remember evreybody calling for wladamir klitschko vs lennox lewis fight there was also a roumor he was offerd 150 million for 3 more fights, evrey wrighter, fan in the world was calling for the fight . it never happend but it still doesnt dampen his career and if a fight dont happen against cotto then that wont dampen mayweathers career either, in my own opnion ofcourse!

 

Lewis wasn't killed for fighting Wlad due to the fact that Wlad got knocked out. If Cotto were to get knocked out, the hunger for this fight will greatly subside. However, if he keeps winning and Mayweather doesn't fight him, he'll hear about it the rest of his life. I think he's an ATG regardless. However, it will be a black mark on his career if he never fights Cotto and Cotto goes on to achieve great things in this sport.

 

Cotto doesnt need to pretend to be something he is not, he can leave the poor acting and WWF sideshow to Fraud.

 

He should just mention he wants to fight Mayweather, and most importantly, push Top Rank for the fight.

Everyone gets all excited about guys "calling out" other fighters. Cotto's already insulted Mayweather a couple times in the press anyway.

Negotiations and offers is where it matters, not talking in interviews about who you want to fight.

 

Calling out is for Pro wrestling fanboys...otherwords meaningless. Cotto's doing all the work in the ring. That says enough!

 

Lance you're right, but your ignoring the fact that calling a fighter out can get them in the ring in some cases. Which is exactly how Hatton got Floyd to bite :deal

 

Ray Hatton said they had been in negotiations for two years before that.

It probably would've happened anyway, but Hatton's public insult did a good job of hyping the match.

 

Arum needs to do his damn job and open up negotiations.

 

I think the fans will make this fight happen. Cotto has the best chance to beat him and all the haters want to see Floyd KTFO!!! All the fighters have to do is wait and the tension will build up enough to the point where floyd will realize how much money he can make and fight him.
