Mayweather won't sign. He will tell the boxing world that he does not work for Bob Arum, and Bob Arum does not tell him when he has to sign jack ****. He will announce he is taking time off to spend time with his family and then if he feels like it when he decides to return, he'll whip Manny's punk ass. It will be on his terms and when he wants it because he is the face of boxing and he doesn't even need the fight.

Floyd's fans will agree with him and cheerlead the decision while knocking Pacquiao and Arum for pushing floyd into a corner and trying to force him to take the fight. They will say it is Manny's fault for not taking the drug tests the first time, and it'll be arum's fault for trying to force floyd to sign the contract before a deadline.

Pacquiao's fans will continue to call floyd a ***** and a ducker, while they sigh and watch another domination of a guy who isn't going to be able to hang in the ring with Manny. Most likely Margarito or Cotto. Manny will dominate whoever it is, the numbers will not be great and we'll eventually enter in to round 3 of the pacweather drama.

    I hope i'm totally wrong.

The thing is, we don't know what's really in that contract, so if FMJ doesn't sign, then you have to get all the facts regarding WHY he didn't sign before you knock him. I do know that Arum is demanding 50-50, which FMJ initially scoffed at, and I have seen nothing to suggest he changed his mind.

Bob Arum is playing mind games. He is trying to back FMJ into a corner, and I seriously doubt Floyd if gonna allow that to happen. The way Bob is going about this is actually quite foolish if you ask me. He is trying to negotiate on HIS terms with someone who has ALWAYS negotiated on THEIR terms. Mayweather won't bend, and unless they release the contract stipulations, and those stipulations are reasonable, I refuse to acknowledge FMJ ducked.

.. on Monday, Floyd signs out of spite for the deadline.

    Boxing Fans Rejoice.

Then, Arum declines saying it's too late and they have an agreement for Pac/Margo in Abu Dhabi.

ESB explodes, boxing fans commit group mass-suicide.

One of the thing's that bothers me about Mayweather not fighting Pacquiao this year is that Arum is going to basically force Pac to fight Margo or Cotto and neither fight is really that interesting. So it basically means no real meaningful fight from the two best fighters of the sport for awhile. I'm not saying I wouldn't watch them, but I really feel Arum's leaning towards a Cotto rematch, and I feel it's pointless from a fan's perspective.

I don't know why Mayweather isn't fighting Pacquiao now. Maybe he just wants to take time off, maybe he doesn't want Arum forcing him to sign by the deadline. Maybe it's a bad contract or maybe he's scared of losing to Pac. But if he doesn't sign the contract, I hope he either takes time off, or fights Williams or Martinez. Anything else would look really bad and be a big disappointment.
