I think he's struggling because it's a nonsensical thread.

 

Yeah, what kind of thread is this? Sparring and an Actual prize fight are 2 totally different things.

 

You guys know exactly what he is asking. You can take out "sparring" and interpret it is "If there fight was not judged, which man would you rather be at the end of the bout" and it has the exact same message.

But that's not what he asked. And I think he actually meant sparring.

 

Then Ward. Because in the real fight he won. Hypothetical sparring doesn't mean anything. Nobody ever won a title by winning a sparring session.

 

A sparring "session" is different than a Boxing "Match"... so if want people to answer you truthfully, you need to be more specific to what you're asking.

 

I think you should have asked. Who had more damage inflicted on them over the course of the fight. The answer is Ward. Easily. I honestly think Kovalev probably messed up his ear. Guy probably had a huge pain in it seeing as he grabbed it after one of the shots. He also was down and hit with other hard shots. Kovalev was maybe somewhat hurt once.

 

sounds like you go into sparring expecting not to take some heat ?

sparring is about trying new things, learning and moving forward so in that sense id be ward any day of the week, he went from getting wooped to controlling and at times making kova look silly.
