anyone who stomps forward and opens up against Witter will get countered by hard, slashing hooks and uppercuts.
Witter finished Harris off by landing a couple of these left hooks while pulling away from the lunging Harris. I've heard the argument that the match-up in styles suits Hatton but I see it the other way. If decent but light hitting counter punchers like Magee and Collazo had Hatton in a lot of trouble then Witter will do him.

But what you are forgetting harris is a counter puncher just like witter and hatton throws punches in different angles. I mean over the past I have been critical of witter from the way he fights but how can he call himself the best at 140. If he beats mallinaggi then he will be able to bargain with hatton and then finally these two should fight.

Harris is a B fighter at best, Hatton is A+. Hatton would murder him, Hattons wins over Castillo & Kostya stomps all over than Harris win.

Have to agree with dangerousity. Watch pirhana come on here and slag me of for being a one sided fool.:happy Harris did not seem to have the heart or any clue how to change is style. What amazed me was that they both have a combined knockouts of 38 well hattons got 31 all to himself.

it is obvious from long ago that warren would not let hatton in the ring with witter, which was why warren treated witter so badly in matchmaking and publicity terms.

hatton is a boxer and i beleive would fight anyone.

who wins , before tszyu i thought witter, and then witter has been lackluster, as of late.

    witter was sharp v harris.

but if hatton can take witter`s punchs , ( i think he now can) , hatton outworks witter.

witter himself has one hell of a chin though.

he really walked onto a couple of full blooded harris powerpunches friday night , 1 when he had just missed himself and was caught flush, and he took them without a wobble.

harris IMO is a harder 1 punch specialist than hatton, so i think this fight would go to the cards with hatton voulume being desicive.

but i did pick harris to win a narrow descion over witter and the witter of 3 years ago turned up, and was very impressive.

Sean it was a very impressive victory and yes warren probably does have something to do with hatton not facing witter during their domestic days. I think though hatton would concentrate more on the body as thats were he will get is success because i was watching that fight and witter seems prone to that left hook to the liver what hatton got rid of castillo with. People might agree with that point or not whatever your opinion his.

I sympathise with the point of view that Witter is tough stylistically for Hatton...i'd still pick Hatton though.

If Frazier gave Ali run for his money, he'd do the same to Foreman...It don't work like that...Maussa TKO'd Harris, and Hatton and Cotto TKO'd Maussa.
If HAtton went for Witter, then he'd be accused of ducking Floyd...Cotto>>>>MALIGNAGGI...etc...etc:verysad

Ever heard of the phrase "Styles make fights?".
So no, connect the dots just isn't my game.

Exactly my point, and you are correct= connecting the dots does not work.
Collazo did better vs Hatton, than he did vs Mosely, but Hatton may have less difficulty than Mosely does with others. It's all about Lewis =
    " Styles make fights " :D
