Here is what people need to understand ..Joe has cemeneted his legacy ..As a Roy and Calzaghe fan I loved the fact that they fought each other too bad it happen a few yrs too late and Jones was a shell of his former self ..Either way congrats to Joe but Dawson is the future why does Joe need to fight everyone who calls him out ? Its time for the future to start setting the ground work for the passing of the guard .

If anything fighters like Chad should look to try to fill the shoes of the 2 legends that fought last night ..Who will be the next Calzaghe Jone or Hopkins ? Its time for them to become the nex big thing isntead of chasing that old same thing !!

youre right that Joe has cemented his legacy for the most part. i know it sounds like i might not have respect for him but the names on his resume clearly demand it.

my whole thing is that a fight against Dawson makes good sense for both fighters right now.

like i said already, if Joe leaves the light heavyweight division to Dawson, then it would be an all too easy road for him to build his own great legacy because he likely hasnt even reached his prime yet. put that along with weak competition and its pretty much a given.

that would leave a question mark to me and many other fans out there because there couldnt be a better time for the two to meet than right now. Joe is past his prime but barely, he is still very fast. Dawson is still young but a fast and dangerous fighter who is very close to his prime.

im just saying that I want to see this fight and it def should happen in my book.

There was a post on here a few days ago with boxers and pundits giving their predictions it was pretty much 50/50 on people picking jones and calzaghe.
