i think it's just bull**** excuse. martinez got credit against williams, pac got credit against cotto and ortiz certainly got huge credit when he beat berto at 145+1 catchweight. there's a long history of fights getting made out of it.

it used to be the bigger guys getting the flak for wanting to fight the smaller guys at a catchweight but in pac's case, it was the smaller guy that get's criticize just because of hate.
