"To qualify for ranking a fighter must have been born in the UK or Eire or have fought for a British/ Irish title."

Not for the purpose of this exercise he isn't....even the most brass necked Paddy wouldn't try claiming him.

it took us 40+ years to prove he had ancestors here...just give us another 5 years and we'll prove he was born here.

He's not even Irish enough to get in Jack Charlton's "Ireland" football team, that's about how Irish he is.;)

I'm the same with mine, every position after Lewis and Fitz is a mish-mash of compromises.

Yep Greg, in Word. So did Ishy!!!

The all-time British heavyweight rankings are poor enough that a couple of wins against world class opposition gets a boxer in and Akinwande has that.

Yep, its sad that fighters are getting in based on who they lost against as well.

Who did Akinwande really beat though?

    A faded Tony Tucker?
    Axel Schulz?

Not really stellar oppo really is it?

I'd say Bruno beating McCall, Williams + plenty of others and giving Lewis fits for seven rounds eclipses that.
