I know nothing about physics and **** but I gotta think the way Chuck basically ran into that right is a big reason why he got put to sleep like that. Plus its obvious at this point man he has that spot if you touch it well hes going to take a nap.

The dude could take up pro boxing and he might wind up with more losses than Reggie Strickland, but none of them would be by knockout. :respect

 

I dont think Horn would do Strickland bad in boxing :yep Thats once a century type of **** right there.

 

The short right straight put him out. Even though it landed on his top teeth the fist slides down and still goes through the jaw, at the angle it hit it definitely separates the jaw giving the full impact on the right nerves. Since it was still beginning of the punch(perfect position too) it had a lot of force/follow through behind it.

 

He got beat to a pulp vs Rampage in their first bout and wilted badly. He did not get hit consistently in the face. During that tourney Overeem hurt him bad until Chuck landed a hail mary. Vs Rampage he simply go mauled to the body and his corner threw the towel in. Fact is Chucks chin was never good as he spent alot of time facing non strikers. Unfortunately for him he's faced alot of strikers lately and his advanced age doesnt help. Chuck has the heart of lion and clearly loves to fight but his career is done.

 

I think Chuck's chin was his biggest downfall.Apparently his legs still carry enough strength to break an arm.

 

Liddell has an abysmal Glass Jaw. Always has.

 

He broke Franklin's left arm with a hard kick, a few minutes earlier.

The dude was basically a one armed fighter at that point.

 

Chuck was looking good prior to the punch, he was having his way with Franklin, had enough pop in his kick to break an arm and for the most part, if he had been a bit more reserved, he might have found a victory - he was just too impatient in my view.

I think Chuck was striking in a more controlled and technical manner but it seemed once he rocked Rich alittle he got KO crazy and start swinging bombs and ran directly into that right. I thought Chuck looked good especially with the inside leg kicks whens the last time he threw leg kicks ? To bad his chin is 100 percent shot at this point.

 

haha no freaking way! That's the worst Chuck I've ever seen. Wasn;t moving well, slow, hesitating a lot and looked like utter ****.

 

Then why wasn't he knocked out early in his career?

It really comes down to him losing his timing and reflexes.

Before he would be able to fight hands down to stuff the takedown and get out of the way of punches, now it just takes too long for the message to get from his brain to his body to get the hell out of the way.

 

chuck will have to seriously consider retiring. a career on films would be probable

 

You're right in that Chuck seems to be facing more strikers late in his career but Liddell did face a fair number of strikers in his early days such as Vitor Belfort, Pele, Overeem, and Guy Mezger.
