Gil Clancy. HOF trainer and was the best color commentator HBO ever had by leaps and bounds.
He was a very good commentator. He knew Boxing for sure.
He said Monzon wasn't a great fighter.
He said that Oscar was more of a chickenhead than a high priced *****.
There goes all his credibility.
I liked Clancy but I actually like Steward better. Is GC still alive?

I believe I read where Clancy has the beginning stages on dementia or Alzheimers.
..... and yet sadly he's still better than most of the HBO team.
That makes him different from Larry Merchant how?
Larry is a Legend but he is slipping. It will be a sad day when there is no Larry Merchant on HBO.
