I blame his promoter for that, if he was with arum or golden boy ten sergio would be a bigger name and have a better fight lined up than barker.

Oscar was also hands down the PPV# king, and most popular boxer at that point, smh at yall ignoring the bigger picture, what is Martinez PPV numbers, has he even had a PPV, does he have the popularity and personality to put fans in the seats, No and NO and NO. Quite honestly I think he has been one of the most over rated fighters, who cherry pick on flawed fighters not to mention the drunken Pavlik was had him on the ropes before the cut happened, maybe he should shut up and laced up the gloves and cleaned out the 160 division, instead calling out smaller fighters.

If Martinez was smart since he is obviously holding out for a big money fight, he'd ask for Hopkins at a catchweight, I'm pretty sure Hopkins camp would pounce at that opportunity, but the so called #2 p4p rather call out small WW's, when he clearly walks around at around 170.

 

The excuses are already being rolled out by the nuthuggers. Floyd won't fight Martinez because he's not a big enough name. :rofl:rofl:rofl

 

Who has Sergio beat to deserve a Floyd fight, Paul Williams, so did Quintana Ko him, and the recovering out of shape Pavlik who put Sergio on his ass and had him in retreat and pot shot mode, before the cut.

Sergio has a lot to prove at least clean out his division, and build your rep, before calling out the best with May and Pac. Not to mention there is a fighter in Margarito that's around the 154/160 divisions that Ko'ed his ass but he has yet to mumble his name, and he call himself a fighter, and elite one at that.

Who did Baldomir beat to warrant a fight with Floyd? Judah? Neither were PPV fighters yet Floyd fought them. Actually Martinez is a bigger draw than both.

 

Because if Pac can't get credit for a Margarito win, how will Martinez who is bigger get any credit for fighting Margarito after Pac beat him?
