Sergio's team believes there is a better shot at getting Mayweather in the ring than Pacquiao. At this time though, it's simply not going to happen. If Mayweather gets past Ortiz, both Pacquiao and Khan are both in line to get Mayweather in the ring over Martinez. Beyond that, Bradley, Berto, and possibly Cotto would be more viable options than Martinez. I don't see a Mayweather/Martinez fight happening unless Mayweather has no other viable options and there is a lot of public pressure to make the fight.

That's what I'm sayin'... Yes going down to 150 is ridiculous but if Martinez and his trainers feel Sergio can make it and be healthy, let's do it! Pac fought and won a JMW title against the man that TKo'd Martinez in the 7th round.

Man Sergio does not need to be going down to 150 pounds. I'd give Floyd and Manny very little credit for that

They should fight Sexy Sergio at at least 154.

If they're going to do it the lame way and put Serg's middleweight belt up at a catchweight, the catchweight shouldn't be any lower than 157.

Martinez has said a lot of things. 155, 154. 150 was said to be too low. You can say all you want, most see pac as too small. I know you floyd fans think because he won a belt at JrMW he should consider it. But he was 144 at the weigh in, and 148 (if I recall) in ring vs. Margarito. That says to everyone WITHOUT AN AGENDA that he's not a jr mw. Floyd's in ring vs. Pac';s in ring is much greater. He's more ealistic to face Martinez. Especially, as stated, he said he would. Then again, maybe floyd is a liar. Yes, liar like Arum now.

I'd have no problem with that. I'd rather it at 154 but Maravilla @ 150 is still a tougher challenge for Floyd than anyone at 147. I'd be delighted to see that happen, I know it won't though.

Edit, you were talking about Pac. Well I'd have no problem with that either.

I agree on the 154 part, and no way his title should be on the line unless they want to fight him at 160. JMO

This pass the ball on to the next guy **** is weak. At a minimum I critisize both equally in terms of this fight, but the "we shouldn't"/"ya'll should" **** is *** ****, IMHO.

This is stupid he is 2 weight classes above these guys and brings nothing to the table. He has no fans what so ever. Why continue to bring this dumb **** up. If he wants a big fight he can fight the guys at 154 now or go up in weight. Manny and Floyd only went up for the huge payday they are not going up again. And I dont blame either one it makes no sense for them to. Also this guy has beaten nobody.

You can refuse to believe Pac anf Floyd aren't the same size all day long. But of the two, only Floyd said he'd fight the winner. He deserves more criticism. Much closer in size, and said he'd fight him. Pac vs. Martinez is just unrealistic due to size. Guess you'll question everything FLoyd says from now on? :think

floyd said he wants to fight the winner of willaims-martinez which turned out to be martinez. but we all know that what floyd says and what floyd does is not always true. in fact most of it are just BS. so expect floyd not fighting martinez next after ortiz. don't even expect him fighting pac next. khan is a real possiblity since he is less riskier fight and it fits into the pattern of him fighting just GBP fighters for the last 5 years.

i really believe that SM is overrated and would have lost to a prime Pav, b-hop, taylor, miranda and aa.

if the last two fights did not take anything out of aa i could see him moving back down to 160 and stopping sm.

Pac said he'd fight Martinez at 150... Why do you keep leaving this out saying ONLY Floyd said he'd fight him? Pac won a title at the weight, and said he'd fight him. Floyd won a title at the weight, and said he'd fight him. They both are 'ducking' him if you believe one is. :thumbsup

Neither Manny or Floyd should be obligated to fight someone like Martinez in a weight class they don't belong in, if Martinez himself is not willing to do a similar thing with the super middleweights.

(cue the "but they once held a world title at 154, you dick!" responses)
