I'm probably on my own here but I'll throw it out there. Did anyone think of the movie Taxi Driver upon reading the start of the title of this thread?

Because Martinez isn't going down to 150. They've said that (even is they've retracted). So what's floyd's excuse?

And Pac won a catchweight title enting the ring at 148. You know, the title you and most floyd fans think doesn't count? Now he's a legit JrWM champ?

People just want to see them lose. I dont get how Martinez wont go up one damn weight class but they expect Floyd and Manny to fight a guy that is two weight classes above them. What kind of logic is that? How about Martinez fight Pascal or Hopkins.

It's a little different then just this, when Martinez says he'll go down to meet them.

Yopu're asking me somewhat pointless questions. No offense meant. But no, Martinez is not going to 147. Everyone knows that. Martinez said he'd go to 154-155 to meet either. Pretty fair.

Why is he calling out smaller guys? It's pretty obvious. Both guys are the biggest draws in boxing. And who said he can't go up? He was looking to fight Pac or Floyd. He's obviously looking for big money fights now. There's two major names a little below, and a few closer at 154 and 160. Just becasue he's looking at a bigger pay day doesn't mean he has to be fair and look a division up.

Although, Floyd did fight a guy two classes below in JMM, why not two above now? :D Kidding.

He just said in the video posted today he'd come to 150, so I don't see the difference here. They both have said they would fight him, he is calling their bluff and he's got crickets. My point is simple, I'm not saying they have to fight him, I'm saying they both COULD fight him and both HAVE fought in this weight class. I also disagree with the Floyd can PAC can't stuff...I believe that view is idiotic.

Actually, DLH was younger than Sergio is now. I think he was 34. He was born born February 4, 1973.

Dude, even then it’s a massive commitment for Manny and Floyd to make. This isn’t a 154 pounder they’re moving up to face. This is an extremely talented 160 pounder who can safely make 154, and rehydrate back up to a strong, fast, hard-punching 168. There will be a good 2-3 weight division disparity between them. For Floyd and Manny – who only weigh 152 and 148 on fight night – to fight someone like him, would actually be more difficult than Martinez facing the Frochs, Wards and Butes – who would only be a division or two, at most, bigger than him [Martinez] on fight night.

I can understand people wanting to see this fight because it’ll be entertaining. But those who are criticizing Floyd and Manny for not taking it, should also be criticizing Martinez for not considering any of the super middleweights.

Edit: And to put things in perpsective, Martinez fighting Pacquiao, is not too dissimilar from Pacquiao fighting a Donaire (both fights make for an approximately 20 pound difference on fight night). Sounds crazy, doesn't it . (Not saying it's a like-for-like comparison)

I take his "I an get to 150" with about as much a grain of salt as I can Shane's claim to ge to 140.

But how much credit would you give Pac if he beat Martinez at 150? Very little is my guess.

How is that view idiotic? Isn't Floyd much closer in size to Martinez then Pac is?

Did Floyd only say he'd fight him at 150 like Pac did?? What's floyd's reason again?
