Margarito has not yet applied for reinstatement and people are already marking him down for the Pac undercard. Good luck with that. The California commission holds all the cards. They turn down his request and all states follow.

1 year is not sufficient!!!! This guy was brandishing weapons in the ring. A lot of fighters for one reason or another don't fight in a years time. One year punishment is not sending a message.

Now, I would not argue against a lifetime ban. However, I am one that believes in second chances. But get it straight, nobody believes that the Mosley fight was the first time this dude loaded the gloves, it's just the first time he got caught.

I will be okay with him picking his career up off the scrap heap in 2011. But 2010 is just too soon for this animal!!

Why would he have to apply in california if he is fighting in Texas?

  4. what he had been doing for god knows how long and what he tried to do against mosley was despicable. however, since there is no evidence that he actually did do it, a one year suspension seems fair. one year when youre a boxer is a very very long time. from now on, his every move as boxer should be carefully scrutinized.

Most commission's follow suit of where the fighter was banned.

So Texas will judge him like California did.

He easily can have his license denied.

Yup, just found an article that states he and capetillo must go through california first.

  9. As much as I'd love to see him fight again, he needs to be properly disciplined for cheating that way. 1 year is hardly even a slap on the wrist.

I'm cool with one year, being that there is no evidence of Capetillo loading his gloves in other fights. It's innocent until proven guilty. Besides I don't think he's got much left in the tank. I think the Cotto fight took alot out of him, even though he won, he took alot of punishment. He took too many serious shots against Mosley as well.

I've heard rumor that he will come back to fight at 154, and I know Maravilla Martinez has said he wants a rematch. I think Martinez might be able to beat him, if i'm correct about Margo being on the down slope.

Lifetime ban would suffice. He could have killed Mosley that night, assuming even with his limited ability he would have been able to land punches with his slow, plodding style.

The man has paid his dues for a minor error in judgement. Even then, it's not like he actually used anything illegal in the ring. This whole comotion was in the locker room BEFORE the fight. It's mainly Cotto stans that are crying about this ****. They are terrified that the Tijuana Tornado might be making its way across the ocean towards a small town called Caguas.
