I completely understand your point but the amount of tampering is on two different levels here.

You're probably right. But I think the commissions need to make a statement on this. Make the punishment a real deterrent rather than just a slap on the wrist. In effect, this ends up being basically a 1 fight suspension, assuming he wouldve have fought in July or August of '09. I'm sure he's not the only one who has done it and there are probably guys still doing it now, but this guy was caught on a national telecast and is a big name who has beaten big names, with all his victories cast into doubt. If evere there was a time to get tough on the issue, it is now.

I don't disagree that a 1 year ban was weak. That said, it's what Margarito was given and he adhered to the rules involved.

obviously it wasn't educational material for you......

resto had padding removed from his glove which was the real problem....plaster is too, but margo never got caught with "plaster"...his coach used old ass pad that contained two substances that can be found in many things........

True as well. Is it a foregone conclusion that he will be reinstated when the year is up?

We still clutching to this theory that he didn't cheat?

Right it was alllllll mere coincidence that, whoopsies, he accidentally put "old ass pads" into his wraps that just happen to have substances found in plaster...but a more likely scenario than he got caught trying to cheat is that he used an antifungal cream and lotion, then used the same "old ass pads" which were then put into the gym bag and accidentally put into the wraps. ...Ya thats more logical.

If it was Mayweather or Pac or anyone not of Mexican heritage you would have had an ulcer.

So, you're saying he didn't cheat and he is only guilty of using oil if olay.

I think if that were the case, he wouldn't have gotten the ban.

First of all, there is no proof whatsoever of Pac doing any steroid or performance enhancing drug, like you know, actually finding it in his wraps. As far as Mayweather goes, numbing his hands is not performance enhancing nor inflicts damage upon his opponents. Merely makes it tolerable for him to punch someone. Read Roaches opinion on it...Second of all, its not illegal to use, like say a foreign object in your wraps.

    You lose.

On a side note, I think a 1 year ban is quite enough for what they caught him with. If it was a Luis Resto situation, he would have been banned for life. It wasnt even close.
