    ........????

the point is that his current level of functioning is fringe contender/contender in this era based upon his past 3-4 years worth of work. In better eras, he'd be by this point at least a journeyman quality of fighter (meaning he would beat some decent fighters but lose most if not all fights to the contenders and above).

     one bad fight vs a hw whom is head and shoulders above everyone else aside from his brother doesn't make the guy a bum, ******. look around the division. who the feck is there that is clearly better than him? look at austin's recent resume vs beck, s ibragaustin, and donald (and now golota tho golota appeared injured) and it's pretty evident that he's approx a top 25 hw at least in today's division.

The first time Golota is involved in boring fights is yet to come. As always he delivered. :yep

I actually gave him a decent shot going into this fight. Barring the first round, he looked pretty good against Mollo (slow, though) and showed toughness continuing with that horribly swollen eye. Austin did his job and did it well.

Time for Golota to retire. Aside from the arm injury, he went down really easy, while he took some bombs from Mollo who probably hits harder than Austin.

When a bum beats another bum, he is still a bum.

Austin is okay but he would lose to the likes of Ruslan Chagaev and Juan Carlos Gomez fairly convincingly.

There was something wrong with his arm but I still had Austin pegged to beat Golota. Sad way to go out after a war with Mollo last time out but Golota was visibly hurt and at this stage will not get another shot.

I watched the DKP English version on youtube and Golota looked like he was finished and didnt have much chance of winning even if he had continued.

The thing is, Golota ****ed up his arm about 30 seconds into the round. He had to basically fight with one arm the remaining two minutes, thirty seconds. He couldn't focus on the fight itself, so no wonder Austin was able to load up his shots like that and fire off combos. Any fighter in the same position would have looked pretty damn good in there with a one-handed opponent. The flash knockdowns were not an issue, in fact Golota was clear-headed and tried to go after him. He would have come back strong had it not been for the injury.

This man just can't catch a break.

I have the strong feeling some peole try to make an excuse with that arm injury. Who cares of that injury. Golota is ****. Period. He never was something special. He had his moments vs. a washed up Bowe, but that was all. Who has he beaten? WHO????? I tell you: No one.
But he was annihilated by Lewis, by Brewster, by Austin and he was too stupid to beat Byrd and Ruiz. Even the hypejob Grant beat him. Golota never was something special when it comes down to the sport. He was something special in scandals.

You could see Golota was injured somewhere in the round. But for the injury, i do believe he would have overcame Austin. It was obvious he was in great distress. Tough break.:smoke :smoke
