Not on power punches he didn't , but well done for admitting your bias.

Nailed it. Perhaps if they do it again GGG should try throwing and landing less punches. That seems to be the key thing for getting the nod.

Overall he did. jabs are still punches last time I checked and count. But I'll bite, if your criteria is quality shots, I can reasonably understand why someone would score the first to Canelo.

Second fight, I can't see it at all because GGG landed more everything, the criteria that people used to justify a W for Canelo in the first fight can't be used in the second. How did you score it?

Canelo landed even more power punches in the second fight.

Jabs on compubox are meaningless since moving out your arm is counted as a thrown punch.

Golovkin spent the majority of the fight moving away behind a jab. Fight 1 Canelo moved away throwing and landing uppercuts , body shots and hooks.

Fight #2 Canelo came forward throwing the same arsenal of punches. He also tried to fight on the inside with GGG , something GGG never attempted to do with Canelo in fight #1.

I had fight #1 even and fight #2 for Canelo.

Scoring them both to GGG like you have shows your bias since you docked Canelo for performing like Golovkin in the rematch.

At least GGG lost on his feet while landing heavy shots until the end. A true warrior, unlike kitty Kov who got wrecked by Ward

No it doesn't show my bias because I don't score on "styles" and never have unless the fight is dead even I might edge it to the aggressor, I score by punches landed and my criteria remained the same, GGG landed more overall punches in both fights.

I'm surprised to learn that Canelo landed more PPs in the second fight in all honesty, just checked the stats, thought it was much closer than that whilst watching the fight. Interesting.

Im not commenting on your scoring criteria ,im commenting on you calling out others for bias when you docked Canelo for back peddling but won't do the same for GGG when he does it.

Canelo out landed (PP) GGG going backward fight #1 and outlanded him even more going forward in fight #2.
What compubos doesn't show is punch variety. Judges show favoritism to varied shot selection , they don't tend to give round to a guy for only pumping out a jab.

Absolutely disgusting got robbed of his titles, unbeaten record, record defences and legacy. Yet some people don’t care about the result and just focus on it being a great fight.

Where are you getting this idea that I docked Canelo for backpedaling in the first fight from? It had absolutely no bearing on how I scored the fight. In fact I think it was a pretty good strategy.

I can’t be mad at those siding with GGG last night he fought very well however what people seem to be missing here is Canelo had the pressure fighter looking quite uncomfortable for a good majority of the bout. I had the fight 7/5 Canelo still a good performance by both being spoiled by subjective thinkers. This was a classic fight and an awesome performance by Canelo.

You say Golovkin won by boxing like Canelo in fight #1.
Does it not show bias to give credit to Golovkin for doing what Canelo was ridiculed for?
