Was just listening to "Through the Ropes" on the internet & Jim Lampley was on & said PBF is very calculated in choosing his opponents & is NOT a risk taker & that is what it takes to be an ATG like Robinson, etc. & that he feels he ducked Margarito & Cotto & took what he saw was the sure win for him in Hatton, to preserve his "0" in the loss column & keep his "great" legacy intake, which is all they care about along with the huge paydays.

He really madealot of sense. He is annoying as hell listening to after all these years, but the guy freakin knows boxing, thats for sure.

Mayweather took some risks. Fighting Castillo in his first fight at 135. Fighting Corrales, who was the favorite. Fighting De la Hoya, a much bigger man, in his first fight at 154.

If Mayweather wasn't fighting Hatton, many would say he's ducking Hatton. I don't know, but some fans even labelled that fight "the fight of our generation". Don't complain now that it will happen.

By the way, Robinson also ducked some fighters.

Floyd has had some soft touchs, but beating Castillo, Corrales, DLH, Gatti, Hernandez, and winning the title at 147 are real accomplishments.

And right after Hatton beat Kostya, everyone on here was screaming that Hatton would destroy PBF and that PBF would never fight him.

But when the fight gets announced, almost everyone on here is saying this is a handpicked challenge for PBF and that he is ducking Cotto, Mosley, and Margo :)rofl )

What a difference 2 years makes. What happended?

Has it suddenly dawned on everyone that PBF is the superior fighter:patsch

First, he was ducking Hatton. Now he's fighting Hatton. And now he only took the fight because Hatton is an easy fight. Which is it, really?

De la Hoya, Castillo, and Corrales were not sure wins. Neither is Hatton.

floyds a moron,i hope he get ktfo, whether its by hatton, or slipping in his kitchen and hitting his head on the counter.

-- but it works in his favor, cause it actually brings up his popularity, altho in a negative way.

The difference is that Hatton looked to be this unstoppable force after Tszyu, it wasnt until he nearly got beaten by Collazo and had a number of bad performances that Mayweather called him out. Also, a number of real welterweights have worked their way up and are quite dangerous atm, and Floyd opts to go for the smaller guy after fighting at 154lbs.I think I know what Lapley means, although Corrales and Castillo were huge threats, I think Floyd and his team knew he had the style to beat them and hence picked them as opponents.

Lampley is just a cheerleader and it's obvious he doesn't like Floyd so what he says don't really mean ****. It's not like Floyd went looking to fight Hatton.. Hatton was poppin **** after his fight with Castillo so Floyd is gonna shut him up.. It's as simple as that
