Here's why I believe Pac is capable of beating PBF

if mayweather fights pac in the pocket he will lose either late tko or UD. The major difference people seem to forget when comparing mayweather with marquez is that marquez is much busier and keep manny occupied. Is mayweather really faster than pac? I think there was a really good reason floyd did not fight margarito, he knew that margartio relentless attacking style would give him nightmares. At this stage you really have to question who is the better fighter pac or pbf? On the issue of marquez, i think pac beats him by UD in the third fight.

 

Floyd beats manny by ud or late stoppage...your getting your facts because manny beat up an old man..i thought oscar would win too and i was wrong on that..but were not talking about an old oscar were talking about a prime floyd..

 

I think he would definitely trouble Floyd, though I'm not sure who would win.

Floyd has the FAR superior defense and reflexes, as well as one-punch speed. But Pacquiao has the faster movement, and arguably combinations (though this is very debatable). If Pac tried to box Floyd like he did Oscar, he would get dismantled and thoroughly beaten. He would have to revert to his high-pressure style, because boxing Floyd is suicide. With his fast movement I can see him getting in close and landing some telling blows, but Floyd is a whole different ball game to an old Oscar, and Manny would take some serious punishment in this fight. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Pac go down a couple of times coming in, Floyd has very underrated power, and despite the cliche, it is spot on - "it's the punches you don't see coming".

Both have superb stamina, elite stamina even... but Pac has the higher workrate, so it's easier for Floyd to look better in this regard (but we all know he's a training addict, and I can't imagine him getting tired). If Pac can sustain a high workrate and utilise his movement, I can see him landing on Floyd far more than anyone before. With such intensity and punches in bunches, darting in and out, shots are going to get through the guard, and Pac has to make sure they count.

This fight goes the distance, but the decision is up for grabs IMO. I would probably slightly favour Floyd though.

I agree with the thread starter completely.. Pac is capable of defeating Mayweather and has the speed, power, stamina, heart, and explosiveness to do so.. I won't go into detail myself right now, but ya'll should have learned by now not to doubt Pac..

Not so sure about this. Marquez is more willing to trade and back Pacquiao up than Floyd would be, and this is vital to beating Pac. It's the reason both Morales and Marquez were so successful, because they used their boxing skills, but also traded when appropriate. Floyd is far more defensively minded than these two, and it could be detrimental. Regardless, the fight needs to be made.

Pac put on one of the best performances I have seen in a long time... Again made me question myself "why do I keep doubting this man... he has proved me wrong every time."

Though I still think PBF beats him, and will have to see it to believe otherwise.

 

I also said you need a good jab and good reach as well.

and his amazing right hand and defense gets him the win against PAC by TKO middle rounds

yeah. some people like to bring up this argument that pbf is way better than marquez. it's just a myth coz marquez commits more offensively while he is as accurate and as good a counter-puncher as floyd, maybe even better.
