I can't agree. Pacquiao and Mayweather have comparable speed, athleticism, and physicality, but Mayweather puts on top of all those physical gifts tremendous ring intelligence, amazing defense, and surgical precision - not to mention he's the naturally bigger guy. Pacquiao's envelope, ultimately, isn't nearly as layered and complex. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather makes it look fairly easy.

    Are you kidding?

Mayweather would take Pac apart in the pocket. Pac has no defense in there. Pac avoided Oscar's shots by using his speed jumping in and out of range. Pac will be wide open to hit in the pocket, PBF's shoulder defense works very well at close range. Watch the Hatton fight and look at how hard PBF was to hit from even at close range and in the holds. PBF would give pac elbows and lead rights all night on the inside. PBF was also proven to be the stronger guy physically in the Hatton fight. PBF will be stronger than Pac in the clinches.

If Marquez had better defense in his two fights woth Pac he would have won, but he was there to be hit in the early going. He adpapted nicely and solved Pac. If it were not for those knockdowns, he would have won a points decision.

Thats your opinion but I total disagree with some of the stuff you. Zab gave Floyd trouble for just 4 rounds until he figure out Zab and then got broken apart. What happens when Floyd adapts to Manny Style then what? It was clear that Manny had a hard time with Marquez who is a good boxer that counters very well and if he manage to give Pacquiao trouble then he is going to have harder time beating Floyd, who is a better boxer and counter puncher then Marquez.Pacquiao didn't dominate Marquez and clearly if it wasn't for those knockdowns he would of lost both fights. Proper artillery to dent PBF armor? How many people has ever manage to get through his defense and manage to do damage? Ring rust is going to be an issue but lets be real who trains harder then any other fighter and comes prepare no matter what PBF !!!

Pacquiao's jab has improved ten-fold, it's a damaging weapon these days. I don't really think a good reach is a requisite, but that's probably because I think that pressure and workrate are vital, which suggests that range isn't a major factor.

You're probably be the first to label Mayweather 'SHOT' if ever that Pacman really beats him...

for the RECORD! if the fight happens people will label PBF shot if PAC beats him.

IT HAPPENS TO ALL THE FIGHTERS THAT PAC FOUGHT!!!! just to take out the credit from PAC!

...They will say...PBF is shot or probably rusty or something.....

you acutally have some pretty good points there, but I still pick Mayweather over Manny, Mayweather defense is to good and his speed is to much for Pacquiao to handle.

pac is not a lightweight anymore. even pac said that he won't anymore go back to 135 since he had trouble making weight for the diaz fight. pac should now be considered as a junior welter.

mayweather even as a welter or junior middle never weighed more than 150 during a fight. he is therefore a small welter. that's why pbf can probably still make 140 if he wants to being a natural 140-lber. the size/weight difference between between pbf and pac will therefore be very small with pac weighing 148 in his last fight w/ dlh.

on the other hand, margo and williams are very big welterweights. both of them probably weight around 165 during a fight. even williams already fought as a junior middleweight. margo just out-sized cotto (a normal welter) in their fight.

pac is not hatton, hatton does not have the pure athleticism required to beat a fighter like mayweather. The point is that mayweather would have to engage pac at some stage in the fight otherwise he'd lose each round based on inactivity. PBF also struggled a little with the 'rush in' style of hatton for the first few rounds. Although admittedly pbf was rolling those jump in shots he would not be able to do the same against someone who is an elite combination puncher.

:patsch Floyd would walk little ass Pac-man down. There would be no reason for Floyd to rely on defense against a guy who cant hurt him.
