Here's why I laugh out loud when posters call Ward "old school"

Crafty, knows when to throw & hold I can't see why he wouldn't be considered old school. Has tricks and knows how to take his opponent's strengths away & make pretty much any fight his kind of way. He is old school imo. Not saying this because I'm a fan of his BTW. Lol, don't even say headbutts because Armstrong threw some too in some fights and he's one of the best inside fighters ever.

:goodarmstrong...zivic, davis, holyfied, hopkins, ali, greb (oh was greb dirty), johnson, the list goes on and on. if people think wards "headbutts" in the kessler fight were bad, watch some of the cats above

Agreed. No Greb footage besides him training but I see what you're saying buddy. If I'm not mistaken, I think even Quarry-Frazier had headbutts because their heads were so damn close many times during the fight. BTW, I'm a big fan to Bhop, Ali, Armstrong, SRL, Barrera, Gomez,(list goes on) but they had dirty tactics and I can't ignore that. People need to understand that old school fighters tended to break the rules using their craftiness too but there are exceptions(Ezzard Charles). I may be pushing it but, possibly Erik Morales was crafty. Not in terms of defense but his methods used to win & survive. May be pushing it though lol.

Love Charles I hope to get his career set really soon, I'm a big fan of his. Now I gotta add some EM on my fights to watch list as I want to study his craftiness more lol. I find it odd no one brings it up though at least I haven't heard it. I'm a fan of EM too he's great to watch. When hurt he fires back and knows how to place his punches well.

 

War fights like a lil *****. That aint old school. He's like a mixture of Hopkins and Hatton with a ****in ugly ass pusssy ***** style. Old school my ass. lolz

 

****ing hell, if Ji Hoon Kim fought like Ward youd say he was a magnificent, throwback fighter.
