True. But like Hatton I think it is too late. I had this discussion maybe 3 years ago and said he had time to iron out some flaws and improve. It is not going to happen now. I might be wrong, but I see new trainers at this stage altering tactics, improving prep and tweaking technique on certain shots. I would be very surprised if someone managed to remodel his whole style and that is fundamentally the key. Anyone with angles and any quick counter puncher with a half decent judgement of range is going to cause him fits. Not only that but I think this talk of moving up to Super Middle is burying the head in the sand for his fans. Froch has none of the attributes I think cause KP problems, and yet if I had to pick one man to come through a war between them...I pick Froch. I think it comes down solely to chin in that fight and I think Froch has the better chin. To me Froch is tailor made for KP in regards to style and yet I still think Froch wins. The likes of Ward, Bute and Dirrell are a ****ing nightmare for Pavlik and his shots have less impact and not more.
Sour grapes. Nothing but sour grapes from over confident 1-fighter loving fans. All you pro-martinez fans pre-pavlik, hats off. All you late to the table turn coats, **** off.
I think weight is an issue, but it's one that can be corrected by going up a weight class. You're right that he has a bunch of tactical flaws he needs to work on.
When do they not these days? It can't really be used as an excuse, he shouldn't have been walking around at 190 or whatever if he had to come all the way down to 160, that's on him.
