A few of Donaire's wins that were seen as a bit "meh" at the time are looking much better....Mthalane (where he looked very flat), Martinez, Marquez.

Looking forward to watching this guy fight again and yes, I think he can be a star as he is only 23.

Read on here Marquez had a bad build-up and was looking podgy so on the premise that Concepion would also improve from the first fight I picked Concepion to win.

Tyson had superior skills in plenty of departments which I acknowledged but I thought Concepions raw power and aggression could win the day.

I'd like to see this guy clear the division, great to watch.

I would be in agreement with that. I'm hearing many calling him the ''next big little thing'' and the likes, I don't think he's quite there yet. However, comparably, if Segura is a ''star'' and a pound for pound contender, then Marquez damn well is. Giovani's getting some ridiculous credit for beating up an extremely past it(1st fight) and downright shot(2nd) Calderon, I don't see what others seem to.

I don't know how many of you had seen him pre-Mepranum, but he looked really good, oozing potential until that fight. Now it looks like he's finally beginning to live up to that promise and I'm excited about it. He has the talent to be the best at flyweight without doubt, unlike a certain fellow countryman he isn't solely reliant on size to carry him to victory.

Pending Concepcion hasn't been ruined, he'll come again, of that I have no doubt, and he'll make this duo of wins look even better than they do now.

    Sadist.:yep

Yep, he's on a very underrated streak of wins. I don't know why people rate someone like (Sergio) Martinez higher than him, both of their body of wins and the all round abilities of both are incomparable IMO, Donaire is streets ahead of Maravilla.

This is very true, I'm not a fan of those kinda' cutters, it's ridiculous, just like Rios at 135 when he's boiling down from near Middleweight (by the looks of hm) Segura just bulldozes people with his size.

And as I'm sure you know, I think most big cutters are sacrificing training time for draining time (most fighters do to an extent nowadays). Hence why I think Marquez is the more skilled fighter who has the better chance of applying his punches better.

I have to say, whilst he had lost his legs, Calderon put up a good performance in the first fight (IIRC he got Seguras attention at one point, worrying for Segura ;-)) and Giovanni deserves credit for being the first man to conclusively beat 'Iron Boy'.

But of course I detract credit for the size difference, which was pathetic. With 24 hour weigh ins Calderon would still be a tiny guy, Segura would be a Bantam at least.

Donaire seems to make okay world class fighters look like total bums. This guy being one of them, though at 5'2 probably shouldn't have been in the same country as Donaire.
