Ive been following him for a while and im surprised how little he is talked about as far as being a future star. Hes only 23 and already accomplished a lot. His 1st fight with Conception was one of the best ive seen and he showed that he can dig deep to win. He made a statement in the rematch that he has a title and your gonna have to go through hell to take it.I like his style and he has power in both hands which makes him dangerous and entertaining. He also showed vs Donaire that there is no quit in him, and despite lising, didnt look like he didnt belong in there at that level. Hes improved since then and look foward to watching more of him.
I know what you're saying, but he's still just a flyweight, so he's not exactly in a premier division. Now if he became number one in that division, then you got something. Become a two-division champion, and you'll certainly hear more about him. etc. etc. Until then, well, I guess we'll see how he progresses.
I think he is fighting Rodel Mayol in two weeks, Hernan Marquez is going to be a tough fighter for anyone to beat at flyweight.
