Prime for prime Hagler stops him. Against the slower later version of Hags, Herol might take a decision.
This fight nearly happened but hagler fought SRL instead. At that point in Haglers carrier it would be a tough fight.a few years earlier Hagler wins comfortably but I think Herol lasts the distance.
As already said prime vs prime hagler wins handily but if the fight had happened after the hagler/Mugabi fight then it's very probably a much closer fight it's also potentially a very ugly fight
Herol would have plenty of success in the early to mid rounds but Hagler takes over as the fight goes on, either a late stoppage or decision win.
Hagler by majority decision. Herol would build up a good lead and then struggle to maintain it after 6 or 7.
christ hagler kills him, though graham makes him look ugly for a good while. Hagler being able to switch would possibly be the round in which he catches up with Herol, breaking up Graham's defensive rhyme and rhythm with blows that are mightier than HG's pen chin. Or when Graham starts slowing at the end of the fight, Hagler wont be letting up and the end will be nigh.
Hagler by mid rounds stoppage Graham was fast and awkward, but Marvin would walk him down and punish him.
Bomber Graham makes a difficult puzzle for anyone, but he never defeated anyone remotely on MMH’s level and Hagler on the other hand defeated many fights as good as or better than Graham. Yes, and older Marvin could maybe chase him around all night and not quite ever get the job done, but we generally do these prime vs. prime unless specific versions of each guy are specified, and prime Hagler runs Graham out of the ring by the middle rounds. Make it a real fight and Graham simply can’t hang with MMH.
